Controversies-
On 4th August 2018, she was attacked by the two bike riding scoundrels.
At that time she was with his 5-year-old son and caretaker in the car. After
this incident she lodged an FIR in the Police station.
In the year 2000, an advertising agency was established by her in Mumbai. On National
Television Doordarshan she was a regular anchor for the television show named
Bioscope.
She
started her television career with Sukanya. It was followed by many hit television serials which made Rupali Ganguly a popular television actress and a household
name. But it was two particular television serials that shot her to instant stardom
and popularity, Star Plus’s Sanjivani where she played the role of Dr. Simran
for which she was nominated for best telly actress award and start one’s
hilarious and cult comedy show Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai where she played the role
of a bubbly homemaker Monisha Sarabhai.
After
acting as a child at the age of 7 years she debuted in the film industry from
the movie Saaheb in 1985. Later she became famous from the role of Sanjivini,
Bhabhi, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and Kahaani Ghar Ghar kii.
She told in an interview with India Today that her son wants to be farmer-
"Rudransh is too young to decide what he wants to be when he grows up. I would love it if my son becomes a farmer in today's day and age. Everyone wants to reach corporate high points and make a mark in showbiz via sports or films... The glamour is definitely enticing, but I really want him to be a farmer - 'farmers nahi honge toh khayenge kya' (if we don't have farmers how will we get food to eat)".
In
2006, she also participated in the first season of the reality show Big Boss, Zara
Nachke Dikha(2008), and Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi 2 (2009) with other
famous stars of Tv serials.
In animation movie Dashavatar (2008) she gave her voice to the character of Apsara.
